Value of garage roller doors —Jon D. Hayward
For anyone who didn't see this (and who is interested!), a MISB service pack of doors just finished on eBay at $18.07. See (URL) lot included 2 red rails, 14 red slotted 2x2s, 9 clear slats and one blue slat with handle. Could this mean that the (...)      (...) Jono, I find that 3 day autions end a little low. I also get better results when my ones end on a Mon- Thur evening. Either way, well done. I had noticed these ended low too: (URL) A (23 years ago, 14-May-01, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.market.auction)

(...) UK evenings ~8pm to ~10pm. This is was based on hit rates to my auctions. However, I have pretty much stopped selling for a while so I just start the odd one or two from work (listed in UKP). Interestingly, I find that more and more of my (...)          Re: Value of garage roller doors —Lindsay Frederick Braun
(...) Eh, I'm convinced it's a little bit both, the 3-day auction theory and the glut theory. The glut is only effective inasmuch as it takes a few of the "driver" bidders out of the pool, which either affects an auction or doesn't depending on (...)       (...) I found myself nodding off half way though. I made my self a cup of coffee, came back and completed the final chapter... I feel that getting straight to the point is the key with auctions. When I see large amounts of text I can't help thinking (...)      (...) I looked at that one last night and passed. It doesn't have any lamps. I have been buying 12V lamps, I've been finding them for about what a 9V lamp costs and being a different form factor, they have different potential uses. I'm just going to (...)      (...) I had both 4.5V and 12V LEGO lights when I was young. The thing I loved about the 12V lamps was how bright they were. I know it's possible to run these lamps on 9V, but are they as bright as a 12V source would make them? -- Thomas Main (...) (23 years ago, 15-May-01, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.market.auction)

Re: Value of garage roller doors —Larry Pieniazek
(...) No, they aren't. That IS a downside. The upside of that is longer life. Lamps run at 75% of their design voltage ARE dimmer but sometimes can last up to 10 times longer than lamps run at 100%... At least that's what empirical experience in the (...)         Re: Value of garage roller doors —Tom Stangl
I think people are asking WAY too much per piece for garage door bits on Brickbay. If you can buy a complete door for $10-20 on Ebay, why would you piece one together for $40-60 on Brickbay? People asking $5+ for the 1x14 bricks are...optimistic, to (...) (23 years ago, 16-May-01, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.market.auction)
