If anyone has received the Toys R Us book of vouchers in the post, and cut
out the Life on Mars one, check your receipt when you use it.
The offer is for a free <set:7310> Mono Jet when you buy a <set:7312> T3
Trike at £7-99. The Mono Jet now costs £2-99, but the voucher only deducts
£2-49 from the total sale. So, ask for another 50p refund.
This isn't the only price hike. The Millenium Falcon is now £90, compared
to the older price of £80 (still £75 at Lego Shop@Home). They've also taken
to putting extra-tight plastic bands around the larger sets, which damage
the boxes, and security stickers which you can't peel off.
Perhaps they should train their staff to be a little more alert if they're
suffering such losses that they have to hike up the prices and take such
drastic security measures.

| I went to Calais two weeks ago, and the Falcon is at 700 FRF at Toy R US. The French franc is at 10.51 (this morning) which is £67 ish. As it does not contains any milk or meat, you can freely bring it back to UK :-)) The TRU is in the commercial (...) (24 years ago, 26-Mar-01, to lugnet.loc.uk)
