FYI, the 24th Jan issue of Autocar magazine has an update on the Land Rover
design competition.
It features a 2 page spread that builds a Land Rover Defender using various
technic parts
Looks like
- 8458 Silver Champion suspension - very high ground clearance, almost
monster truck style. Also some grey panels
- 8446 monster crane truck green panels and grey tubes
- V8 engine (8448 or 4/5th of 8458)
- and of course the power puller wheels. Actually they cheated as they use 5
wheels (one as a spare), not the 4 they sent out.
Thing is, it is a nice model and this would make a GREAT set.
They should release it.
Apparently there were over a thousand entries
