My turn to boast about a car boot sale find (?)
After the good finds reported here last week, and the lack of respect my
youngest kid gave to the GMT to BST change, I found myself at a car boot
sale yesterday. Straight away I picked up a little boxed Technic set. I
wandered around smirking at the poor souls selling Beanies. Then, just as I
was about to go home with my little Technic set, I spotted the magic Lego
logo (Michael, this is a red square with yellow text in the middle). The set
number said 6970. I said "How much for the Lego?". She said "£15, it is like
new". I opened the box, and saw she was right - and checked the flag and the
aerial were intact. I said "£10". She said "Shall I put it in a bag for you
son?".
So yes, I got a 100% complete MIB 6970 for £10. Not quite a 4558, but I was
happy. Anyone do better this weekend?
