Well Spotted. Truely a FOTY if it is complete.

It must be 'metroliners at car boot sales' season though, as I also picked up
an incomplete one yesterday! This was quite incomplete, however I salvaged a
complete middle car out of it which will improve my own 4558 no end. The front
cab with engine is near enough complete too (havent finished putting it
together), but the back end is missing the bottom cab brick and windows.
What was interesting was it came in a big box of miscellaneous train parts.
Besides the incomplete 4558, was an incomplete 4563 goods train, plus loads of
older 12v doors, windows, chassis, connectors, wheels, roofs and sliding
doors. There was also about 50+ of the grooved bricks that hold sliding doors
on the carriages. Strange.
Also a good load of 9v track and transformer, and points.  And some platform
plates (yippie!)
One of the treasures in it though might be the 7777 train ideas book in
excellent condition.
Unfortunately it wasnt cheap - £40 - the guy knew it had some value - but I
reckon I will easily recover that with a couple of ebay auctions of some of
the specialist train parts and the 7777. Leaving me a new metroliner carraige
and another couple of reconstituted carragies for free.

regards
lawrence

For anyone that's interested I had a FOTY today. The whether was fine and boot sale season has started. I must admit I was a bit reluctant to get up at 5.45 this morning. But nonetheless I made the effort, mainly as my daughter woke up around (...) (25 years ago, 19-Mar-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)
