On Saturday at the Reddifest I picked up an incomplete 6066, camouflaged
outpost, in Alans auction for £5, which with a bit of rumaging through Jon's
part bins I managed to get more complete with a set of forestmen.
This is a relatively rare set that has been going on ebay for circa $60
Then on Sunday I went to a car boot and picked up a complete one with box and
instructions for £8.
Then on Monday a lady phoned me in response to a ad I put up in the local
supermarket saying 'lego wanted. especially Castle, pirates and train', asking
if I classed Robin Hood as castle and was I interested in some sets?
And saying yes, I promptly went round her house and lo and behold I picked up
a 3rd 6066 complete in box with instructions for £4.
So from zero to 3x 6066 in 3 days cant be bad
I also picked up a 6077, 6081, 6075, 6056(x2), 6039, 6076(x2), 6058 from the
car boot and this lady, at similar prices, all boxed with instructions. What a
good weekend for castle!
One of the 6066 will be appearing on ebay soon I guess to fund the above
acquisitions, though I might consider a trade for humungous number of castle
walls.
regards
lawrence

| (...) Never say "yes". Say "Hmm. Ah. Not really. I think my kids have that one. I'll come around and have a look at it as I'll be passing your remote & isolated hilltop croft soon anyway." Then drop everything, and burn rubber to get to the seller's (...) (25 years ago, 14-Mar-00, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.castle)
