I know I'm in the US, but I did call LEGO customer service when one of my 4
broke. I told them I had all three sets which have the dampener in it but one
had broken and I expected the other to as well. They sent me 4. Since then, I
had one more break, however the two on my 8448 are still ok (and I have it in
the gull wing mode with the doors down).
