I finally got the box posted off (to Michael Edwards) yesterday. I think it weighed 1.6kg. It couldn't therefore go 2nd class, so I sent it as a parcel. Postage was £3.50-ish. I put the technic in as noted by e-mail as well at the other stuff I (...) (26 years ago, 19-Sep-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

(...) TRU normally sell trains, but not a large stock. I couldn't imagine TRU giving anything away free! Now TRU is open the smaller toys shops may now close. (...) It shouldn't be too bad that time of the day. BTW - the new link road between the M11 and M102M (Blackwall tunnel) is now open. I don't know if that makes any difference to time/distance, but it may cut off the corner and also avoids the (...) (26 years ago, 17-Sep-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)
