The first 1/3 height bricks were referred to as plates as they were only available as large-ish 2x8, 4x8, 6x8 and left or right curve-ended 4x8. Slim bricks came along a little later in sizes 1x1, 1x2, 2x2, 2x3 and 2x4 only. ...David Lyall (LEGO (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: Lego Blueprints Query & Weetabix Promo House Instructions

Very interesting indeed....where can one find this type of info (other than being there at the time)? An interesting feature of the London Bus blueprints was a reference to "New Lego Slimbricks" (plates I presume). In the Ultimate Lego Book time (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Huw I would be very interested to see these and equally happy to host them on a permanent basis if you don't have the webspace. Cheers SteveScott "Huw Millington" <hmillington@cix.co.uk> wrote in message news:Gq3IJ1.6Bt@lugnet.com... (...) years (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: Blacksmith shop has arrived

This is one of the best sets lego has produced in ages IMHO. I also loved the new Darth Vader figure (much better than C3PO and the Storm Trooper) and Yoda. (23 years ago, 14-Jan-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: SALE - Argos.co.uk

Amazon.co.uk also have a number of items on sale. The best deal I could see was the Bionicle: Muaka & Kane-ra (8538) for £31.49 (rrp ~£45) I note the new Bionicles are now on backorder at lego.com... Scott A "Michael Edwards" (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: Lego Blueprints Query & Weetabix Promo House Instructions

Steve, There are 4 blueprints altogether, you are missing #4 "Astronaut and cosmic ray regenerator". There was in fact a 5th that was in the middle of the UK booklet "Anna Miranda and Mark build a house"* for 2 further models from that story. They (...) (23 years ago, 16-Jan-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: Quick introduction and questions

G'day Tim, Unless anyone claims to be nearer, I might be the next closest AFOL - I live south of Yarm, which is about an hour north of you. The best selection will be the Toymaster shop in Kings Square, but it is not a cheap shop! There is at least (...) (23 years ago, 16-Jan-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: LEGO weekend: 6-7 April

In the event that I finally manage to get into the house I'm buying, I was hoping to have a house-warming fest. The timing is loose, but maybe the beginning of March. Not tempting fate with any more details than that just yet :( On Wed, 16 Jan 2002, (...) (23 years ago, 16-Jan-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)
