Re: Large Crane MOC —Ronald Vallenduuk
On the page it says 'the world's largest Lego Crane', but I'm not so sure it beats Dennis' Monster Liebherr ((URL) wonder if this might be the crane that's been announced for the Lego event in Holland in two weeks time.... (hence x-post to loc.nl) (...) (23 years ago, 16-Oct-01, to lugnet.loc.nl, lugnet.technic)

Re: Large Crane MOC —Thomas (T. J.) Avery
(...) It doesn't even come close! Dennis' crane had a maximum height of 4.2 meters and I estimate this new crane to have a maximum height of around 2.7 meters. And there are other Lego cranes that exceed 2.7 m ;-) TJ (23 years ago, 17-Oct-01, to lugnet.loc.nl, lugnet.technic)

Re: Large Crane MOC —John Barnes
That's lucky - it scales to about 1000 studs, so just use some of the new 512 stud Technic beams ;) JB ... now were'd I put that ABS glue ... (...) (23 years ago, 26-Oct-01, to lugnet.loc.nl, lugnet.technic)

Re: Large Crane MOC —Thomas (T. J.) Avery
(...) Close enough! I think the maximum boom height (combined with jib) is around 198 meters. This scales to 8.3m, or 27.1 ft, in 1:24. However, there are many different boom configurations and they don't necessarily have to be as tall. But if he (...) (23 years ago, 26-Oct-01, to lugnet.loc.nl, lugnet.technic)

Re: Large Crane MOC —Dennis Bosman
Hi guys, The red beams is the main problem: he hasn’t got enough of them. So he placed an other at S@H but they are (temporary) out of the assortment. I’ve already seen the undercarriage: gigantic! Tomorrow I will make some pictures of it. He also (...) (23 years ago, 26-Oct-01, to lugnet.loc.nl, lugnet.technic)
