Oh, I see. I got this little info from "marco":
"There are non silly meaning tied to it, only there was a comic strip for
boys in the mid '60 with a terrible boy named Tobia as the main character."
So I can see how 25 years of telling the story how my northern Italy relatives
did not approve of my name - and how it got confused into "crazy" or something
similar.
