      | | | 'cause I don't have enuf to keep me occupied, I decided to throw some animation in the virtual space layout--

 The latest iteration--

Basically all movement, including the camera view, are hard-coded (x,y,z
co-ordinates) into POV-Ray and then rendered across 1800 frames (15 frames
/second thus being approx 2 minutes long).  The good bit is that each separate
item can be a different file, so you can add and take away vehicles as needed
 for testing.

It takes a bit to get the co-ordinates of all the moving objects, and it still
looks a little static, but I'm in the mood to work on it.

This virtual layout (sans flying ships) represents the actual layout that will
be at BrickFete 2012.  It'll come in at 10 feet by 17.5 feet, and I can't
remember how much monorail (not breaking DaveE's (and others) record)

 Anyway, hope everyone is well.

 | | (...) That's pretty cool! I love the added movement with the spaceships flying around in addition to the camera animation. Are the monorail tracks in LDraw somewhere? Last I recall looking, I didn't see them, and... it looks like yours doesn't have (...) (14 years ago, 14-Mar-12, to lugnet.org.ca.obb)
