When I looked into a withdrawl yesterday, the rate they gave me was 1.4941.
The rate at www.oanda.com is 1.5392.
This amounts to 3% surcharge - another rip-off of international customers.

Yes but it may be a bigger or smaller rip than the competition... can you
easily determine what the C2it or WU rates are for the same date as the
1.4941 rate you quote? Or conversly can you determine the 23 October oanda
rate to see if it's 3% less?

grumble... I guess you're right.  It just makes me crusty, the way they grab
an extra nickel or dime at every turn.  It sure would be nice to skim 3% off
the conversion rate when I buy from shop.lego.com.

2.9% + 30¢ to receive, plus 1% for international buyers, plus ~3% to convert.

For a $US 10 transaction, a 1.48 Paypal conversion rate and a 1.52 'real' rate,
I get $CDN 13.78 and paypal gets $CDN 1.42.
