  Re Shop at home...

For those of you who haven't come across a 2000 catalogue. I guess I can confirm some stuff. The S@H insert has one price in US$ and one phone number in the US I assume. Lego Direct will apparently look after the GST/HST for us. John Battcock (25 years ago, 16-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.ca)

7144 Slave 1 at Sears in NS

Picked up said set at Sears in Halifax today... 29.99 (20% off and a 5.00 coupon). They also had one of the arctic sets #6520 which looked Okay but price was a high at 39.99. As Sears is 10% to 15% higher in this neck of the woods I didn't want to (...) (25 years ago, 14-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: New Star Wars Lego in Canada?

(...) Didn't look today - too busy freezing my fingers putting up the X-mas lights, but when I did "the loop" (Walmart, Sears, Zellers, the Bay, TRU) yesterday there was none to be found. Lots of crowds though. Ugh. James (URL) (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: New Star Wars Lego in Canada?

Last year I remember seeing a couple of the amazon sets on the 30th of Dec here in NS. Always looking though, especially since I have 10 coupons to use before Dec 31. John battcock (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.ca)

New Star Wars Lego in Canada?

I was wondering if anyone in Canada has come across the new Star Wars Lego sets? They have been just "discovered" in the US but no one from Canada has said anything. Anyone found anything? Anyone even looking? (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.ca)

  Robotics Nuts in Windsor?

Just went to Toys R US in Windsor where I found oodles of Mindstorms boxes...finally! Been rather hard to find it around here. Well, to validate the cost and all that I was forced to declare it a 'Christmas Gift' to my fiance. Which in turn has (...) (25 years ago, 12-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.ca.on)

  Re: Canadian Tire

(...) Lucky You. As of yesterday there were none left anywhere in Greater Vancouver. Our local (small) CT didn't have them but they checked other stores for me and even the one which had most to start wih (93) had sold out. The most irritating thing (...)   Re: FYI - Twisted Time train @ Wal-Mart $19.99

(...) Cool. I picked up about 1/2 dozen of these when they showed up on the shelves at $24.00, and I'll likely pick up another dozen or so if they're back. Thanks! James (URL) (25 years ago, 3-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.ca)

  FYI - Twisted Time train @ Wal-Mart $19.99

G'Day Just a quick note : at one of my local WAL-MARTS they had a large stock of the Twisted Time Trains on sale for $19.99 (reg about $45). Yes I know its an ugly , ugly set , but it is good for parts. (Like 2 black low slope outside corner roof (...) (25 years ago, 3-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.ca)

  Re: Canadian Tire

My thoughts re Cdn tire and Lego... As I learned last year trying to buy 19 cent Hot Wheels , Canadian Tire stores apparently are independent in decisions regarding what stock to carry. Even for items listed in Flyers or catalogues. I checked two of (...) (25 years ago, 3-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.ca, lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Update on Technic Box #1 (Canadian Tour)

I don't think the CDN Tour should be scrapped, but I think it should be expanded on the page, so we know who actually has each box. And I really think people should GET OFF THEIR BUTTS and post in here when they get a box! How hard is it to post a (...) (25 years ago, 3-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya, lugnet.loc.ca)
