Re: What a trip I had to Markville!

(...) This is the BEST Halloween. How’s this for a Trick-or-Treat!!! I feel like one of those lucky people who tour a Lego factory and pick up an assortment of rare parts…I’ve always dreamt that I’d find 25-30 pieces of drk. Gray round shields from (...)   Re: 4679 tub in old grey?!

(...) There are 2 types of tub documented so far. One has old colours, and one has new colours. They are stamped with a number beside the bar code. The old colours are found in buckets stamped 2714, and new colours in buckets stamped 3534. See the (...) (20 years ago, 31-Oct-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.ca, lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Tub 4679 (was Re: New Tub 4425)

(...) Hi. Just to clarify, the 4679 tub at $29.99 Canadian is (was) available at Toys R US stores. If in doubt, ask your friendly Toys R Us sales rep if there is any left. The 4425 tub is available at Walmart stores, which were like the red Creator (...) (20 years ago, 30-Oct-04, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Tub 4679 (was Re: New Tub 4425)

(...) Hello, I did saw some 4679 tub in Montreal(and bougth a few) but at 30$CAN compare to 20$US this is not a good deal compare to the other side of the border. This is more like the exchange rate of over 1 year ago. They should have been mark at (...) (20 years ago, 30-Oct-04, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: What a trip I had to Markville!

(...) Mine was a one strap box ;-). It had lots of wings 'n' wedges in old grey (work that one out). It was a sweet box of joy. (...) only the old grey arches are similar). I had less printed pieces though. (...) WOW! Seems the only consistent thing (...)   Re: What a trip I had to Markville!

(...) From what I see in front of me, and what I have read from other posts and BrickShelf descriptions, the 2-strap box/tub combo has a stamp of 2714 beside the barcode on the tub, and the 3-strap has a stamp of 3534. Which should make the 2714 tub (...) (20 years ago, 30-Oct-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.org.ca.parlugment, lugnet.loc.ca, lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: New Tub 4425

(...) This is a really weird set. First, it comes in a strange flattened container. It looks more like a trashcan than a regular tub. The top is like a Quattro container. JohnG and I went to find one at the Wal tonight and discovered the picture on (...) (20 years ago, 30-Oct-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: What a trip I had to Markville!

(...) Was there a consensus on which box had the big arch part? Was that a two or three strap box? Darrell (20 years ago, 30-Oct-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: What a trip I had to Markville!

(...) ParLUGment has bought many 4679's in Ottawa and the concensus is that the 3-strap tub/box has the wings and wedges, and the 2-strap tub/box is the sweet box of joy. Also, as an added bonus, the 2-strap tub/box has OLD GREY inside the tub. Play (...) (20 years ago, 30-Oct-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.loc.ca)
