Yesterday, MUGS held a display at Our Holy Redeemer Catholic Primary School, Surrey Hills, to the delight of both the students and the teachers.

This was our first chance to display our train layout (christened Shedbridge after the two main features) and figure out transport, set-up and pack-up times and issues.

Speaking of which, here’s a semi-overall picture:

And another of lesser quality that includes the elements the first missed:

Ross brought along his massive Demag crane.

I don’t know about the kids, but I was impressed.

Also impressive was the Star Wars display (mostly provided by Iggy), featuring over 1000 Storm Troopers!

Also on the Star Wars tables was Troy’s Jabba’s Palace, featuring a bit of FART, and Aaron’s globe, seen here after an ugly bowling incident (Ross’s picture).

We had some track set up so the kids could have a turn controlling the trains (Ross’s picture - the crazy thing is I have video of this, but no stills).

Trav supplied some space MOCs and Teunis a few larger trains.

More pictures can be found here and here (Ross’s pictures).

I also some detailed interiors for Teunis’s Shell service station and McDonalds, pictures of which can be found here.

(I’ve decided not to go into too much detail about Shedbridge itself. Details can be found in the galleries, and will probably be discussed after the Melbourne Train Show in a couple of weeks time. By which time, I will hopefully have some more pictures (yet to be developed) and done something with the couple of minutes video that I took.)
