Hi all,

Well we had one of our best turn-outs yet on Sunday, once again at
Chadstone. Present were (apologies if I miss anyone):

Steve, Sue ann, Les, Travis, Colby, Ben, Troy, Matthew, Aaron, David, Simon
and Tony.

Apology accepted, Captain Nieder...

There were heaps of MOCs - Travis brought his Starcraft MOCs, Tonas brought
2 very nice houses and a train, Matthew had a "rocket-powered apartment" and
a nice mini-mecha, and Paul brought his... well never really found out what
it was called, but I guess "big blue & yellow space thing" will do... Oh
yeah, my city crane was there too 8?)

Are we supposed to name our MOCs? Oh. How about 'Sandra'? I've always liked
that name.

And, in anticipation of the announced mini-MOC competition, many people also
brought various less-than-minifig-scale MOCs too, and we were all admiring
each others mini-MOCs and wondering who was most likely to win, and then
Aaron showed up with his Formula 1 scene, complete with sponsorship

A most awesome diorama, even if it did advertise alcoholic beverage :-)
Makes me wonder whether it'd be practical for us to make a 'mini' town layout...

Anyway, before we all voted, there was lots of other stuff to do, like
trading, trading, lunch, more trading.... hey maybe one day we'll fit some
brikwars in there too 8?)

So after lunch, we all decided we'd better vote on the mini-MOCs, since
OzBricks had kindly donated some prizes. And after the designated
vote-tallier tallied all the votes, well, there was no surprise for first
place, but here's all the winners together

Many thanks to OzBricks for the cool prizes. I've used some of the new
bricks already!

And after all that, we also floated the idea of a Victorian "train thang",
so hopefully we'll be meeting again soon to do some train stuff 8?)

Did that idea incorporate a monorail layout? I remember mentioning it, but I
can't remember what the general opinion was.

And Ben assured everyone that we definitely will have BrikWars next time...

Isn't that what he said three meetings ago? :-)

Cheers,
Paul
