Whoosh, There they go! —James Howse
The catalogue (system, not explore) is now out. Or at least it was. I put a score out yesterday morning. They're all gone now. Just thought I'd give the heads-up to keep a lookout. James (who made sure he bagsed one for himself) (22 years ago, 12-Sep-02, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Whoosh, There they go! —Stephen Hurn
Personally I am really disappointed at the new lego catalogues. They don't feel very organised, and don't detail the sets properly. I believe that the booklets from the years 1993-1998 (which are the only others that I have) are excellent, with (...) (22 years ago, 15-Sep-02, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Whoosh, There they go! —Benjamin Whytcross
Well, you should see the catalogues from the 1960's...general info about lego for half the catalogue, then pictures of the sets, and set name with no description...after all, why bother describing a set when lego was designed for children to use (...)    (...) One thing I've learned on LUGNET is that things are always better 5 - 10 years ago! ;-) (...) There's more: try a Vampire Crypt ((URL) or a Werewolf Ambush ((URL) Both excellent sets, and better value on a cents-per-part basis than Star Wars. (...)         Re: Whoosh, There they go! —Stephen Hurn
(...) Hey, things actually were better back then. Except the only thing I could afford was the lego catalogue, so I usually had to wait until Christmas or my birthday for new sets. I still managed to snag all but the BSB from the original pirates (...) (22 years ago, 16-Sep-02, to lugnet.loc.au)

(...) A *very* subjective judgement! (...) At least you'll get the opportunity to snag a BSB in the near future! (...) Ahh! I believe that 1380 and 1381 are a Target exclusive. Cheers Richie Dulin (22 years ago, 16-Sep-02, to lugnet.loc.au)

(...) One thing I've learned in life is that things are always better 5-10 years ago :-) There is a technical term for this phenomena: nostalgia! Kerry, who notices how young policemen look these days (22 years ago, 23-Sep-02, to lugnet.loc.au)
