Santosh,
Good idea. My major concern would be that LA may have some trouble with the
www.lugnet.com site. Maybe a pointer to the Australian section as well? [or
at least the .loc anyway, as that shows posings in Aus. If they see .loc.au,
they'll see a considerably smaller count of postings at the top of the page
and assume we're not worth worrying about. However, if they see the .loc
header, they'll realise how much of an interest we have, and how big their
potential sales could be if they listened to us, as well as the 'all
knowing' buyers who select the range for us.]
Another idea would be to put all our names at the bottom of the letter,
along with an e-mail address/phone number/postal address so that LA could
contact any of us should they like feed back on anything, or to verify that
we do in fact exist. [world club numbers too, perhaps?]
You could also mention the concern we have about the way lego is heading,
especially in Australia, and how we'd be interested in helping them with
things like their 'big builds' they hold in Myer in Melbourne, or the truck
show, and point out that we could contribute as volunteers [or be paid in
parts ?] for weekend 'building competitions' in our local shopping centres
during school holidays to assist them in building up lego's
customer/collector base in Australia. Maybe even suggest a 'world-show' type
display showing some of our constructions? [either as a part of the truck
show, or a seperate display.]
