Hi Dave, I know you are a little too far away from the disaster, but still,
you are there closer than we are... are you ok?  Is everything alright with
you?  Just let us know!

Thanks... Mel

'The streets here in Brisbane tonight are extremely dead and quiet... the
silence in the air even here, is frightening...  Everyone is fearing a
little trouble when the CHOGM? gets together (maybe?) soon here in
Brisbane... and lets hope that this kind of thing isn't repeated again'

Hey there,

Thanks for checking Mel ! :^) I've been a busy little bee with hardly any
Lego,  who doesn't make it to the shops very often, hence lack of posting.
In terms of last Tuesday, there's not much I can tell you that you haven't
already heard. It's almost impossible to express how I feel, but that's
normal at the moment I suppose.  God knows what the next few months and
years will bring.  :^|

Oh great to see you are ok! Yes... only time can tell.  What will and can
happen depends on how the world as a whole tackles this situation and makes
those responsible pay.

In the short term, I'd be a little bit more worried about Brizzie with CHOGM
than the US -- at least in terms of how likely another attack is -- so you
guys take care too.

Yes, since I see loads of patients come in and out each day at work, they
all seem to be a little worried with the CHOGM thing.  Sure people say don't
worry, but after Tuesday, anything can happen, anywhere, anytime.  These
clowns want to make an impact, for them the bigger, the better, as we all
know.  They are already planning another attack, this time they want it to
be more spectacular than ever :(  It's just a game to them, it's a joke,
it's funny to them, but not to us.

We have enough crap with the Boat People and their display of aggression.
Look at those idiots who sued the gov for $100, 000,000 a few years back.
Anyway that's almost a diff story, but still, no-one wants to take chances.
If anything happened here, we'd be *&^&%$#$%#%!!!  There is quite a bit of
tension in the air... We too have a little landmarks, like the Military??
thing from the US out in the outback... is that a threat to them??

I work out in Ipswich, not far is the Amberley Air Base, sadly people
freaked when the Army Copters flew overhead the other day, but that was for
the extra precaution for the CHOGM, so I have been told.  Then again we
might have nothing to be worried about too.  But with what CHOGM holds, you
can't help people feel the way they do, they are already mourning their
family and friends and people of the world in the USA.

I only know and feel this since it's what our patients are talking about.  I
have many patients who are Veteran's and they will tell you a few things or
two, specially with Vietnam/WWII etc...  Also quite a few patients who do or
have worked for the RAAF...  As I said once before... only time can tell...

The only thing I fear is these people are smart, only because they love fear
and people like us, they'll do anything, even if it means killing themselves
in the process, they are almost capable of anything.  Where we won't be
thinking, they'll be planning, leaving us saying "bugger, we didn't think of
that, how did we miss that?"  The American's are saying similiar things now
arn't they?  I guess from now on we'll have to think in the mind of a criminal.

Take care all... thanks for replying Dave!
