The LEGO Football sets are now available in New Zealand, exclusively from
Toyworld. However there is only one Team Bus available - set number 3406 (the
one with blue window frames). I bought one of each set except for the • Expansion
Set 3410 of which I bought two.

Total cost: $372.00 NZD

Grahame,
Let us all know what the soccer field set is like to play with,
surely it can't be too far away for Australia (but then...)

Went back today and got another Light Tower set and another Grandstand set so
that should give you some indication of what I think of these sets! Had lots of
fun putting the sets together and then playing a game of soccer. The cat was
very interested and was initially allowed to play, however when she put one of
the players in her mouth, she was banned from any further participation.

There are no new elements, and the price is not too bad. There is a hint of
'juniorisation' with some large pieces being used in the construction of the
seating in the various grandstands.

The bus is quite good (3406). The scale is larger than normal Town vehicles but
it is nice to be able to get six mini figures inside! Need to find the other
team buses now.

With all the sets I bought, I now have 15 soccer balls. One of the balls from
the large set (3409) is blue and white with Adidas markings.

If you want a decent sized pitch, I would suggest buying two of the large set
rather than buying up several packs of the Expansion set. The baseplates in the
Expansion set are only half the size of the baseplates in the large set.
