Hi all
managed to catch a Lego Rep whilst in Myer today...
While she was busy putting out even MORE bionicles, I asked her about a Star
Wars set I am after. I was rather amused when she said I'd have to give her
a number as she only knows them by numbers and not by name. Anyway, this
lead to a discussion about the catalogues. She said that they'd like to get
the new catalogue out at the end of July but suspect it will be the first
week in August.
Also had a brief discussion about why "current" sets can be hard to find.
First she said they (Lego) have been caught out in the past with stock
sitting on shelves so they stock less in the first place. Then she said
she's been finding that some of the stores haven't been reordering
replacements when stock has been sold - apparently places like Myer are
supposed to order a replacement as soon as something sells, thereby
maintaining their stock.
She did confirm that the item I was after is still available and would be
returning to shops shortly.
And, no, I didn't ask her about Shop@home
