(...) Yes - Myer and Grace Bros are the same stores. The specials are national, it's their stocktake sale catalogue. However, if it's anything like Hobart, all the good specials (i.e. the big sets) had sold within minutes of the store opening when (...) (23 years ago, 29-Jun-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

The Melbourne City store had heaps of the Fire stations left, but the Polar bases did not arrive for the sale (they will be coming in next week), they did offer to put one on hold (for the sale price) when they arrive (so I took them up on the (...) An update for any lurking Hobartians: I went back at lunch to check after Martin said that the Polar Bases hadn't come in at Melbourne, on the off chance that the Hobart store might be getting more (there was (briefly) shelf stock first thing (...) (23 years ago, 29-Jun-01, to lugnet.loc.au)
