  Looking for a Flybo...

Hi guys, I was wondering if a kind-hearted World Club member could do me a favour? I rang LA and asked if they could process my membership in time for me to get one of those nifty <set:6493 Flybos> on sale for $30 -- I'm starting to like the idea of (...) (...) Dave.... If you have no luck with the world club, I can email my friend in Montreal, where I saw a couple of those in a toshop there....maybe he can get one for you....le me know? Kev... : ) (24 years ago, 31-Oct-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

Kev...: ) wrote in message ... (...) Do you think it would be cheaper to grab one here for $60 from a toyshop? I've seen a half-dozen in Melbourne at least, mostly around $60-$70, if Ben and I keep an eye out we'll probably even find you one for (...)   Re: Looking for a Flybo...

(...) There are a few in Sydney around the same price. They were snapped up quickly 3 months ago at Erina Toyworld where they were $29.99. Lego at a decent price walks out the door. Like the soccer sets, price it reasonably and it sells ten times (...) (24 years ago, 1-Nov-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

  Re: Looking for a Flybo...

(...) For a flybo, (battered box) check out GB Macq. 80ish less 20%. James (who's busy designing train layouts. Hey, I can dream can't I?) P.S. Anyone wanna swap their 9v for my 12v, piece for piece? (24 years ago, 1-Nov-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

  Re: Looking for a Flybo...

(...) Well considering I picked up a tub of 1200 pieces for $25 CD wich worked out around $30 Aud..... and I usually pay around $50 Aud for a box of 500 pieces here in Aus......the sets Lego over there is sooo much cheaper...!!!! (...) (24 years ago, 1-Nov-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

Re: 1200 buckets (was: Looking for a Flybo...)

(...) I think the 1200 bucket is exceptional even by N American standards though: people have compared the price per piece in the S@H bulk packs quite unfavourably with those buckets (except for the colour and piece range obviously). --DaveL (24 years ago, 2-Nov-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

Re: 1200 buckets (was: Looking for a Flybo...)

(...) Assuming we just get the Euro selection, it's strange that Europe doesn't get a rectangular bulk bucket. They make them for Duplo, so why not for basic. Do the residents of the US use that many more basic bricks. Or is it a matter of pricing (...) (24 years ago, 2-Nov-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

Re: 1200 buckets (was: Looking for a Flybo...)

(...) Maybe they made them with cheap Brazilian labour and rainforest harvested ABS, hence the phase out of these buckets (with the closure of the Brazil factory)? Someone tell me if that's a completely wrong assessment... --DaveL (24 years ago, 2-Nov-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

  Re: Looking for a Flybo...

Dave have you arranged to get one of these Flybo sets yet? I still have a spare sheet as both I and my son are in the Lego club, I could get you one, but I will have to write my sons membership number on there and we can have it sent to you, can (...)
