I finished building the UCS Tie Interceptor yesterday.
Having now built the Millennium Falcon, the UCS X-Wing, and the UCS Tie
Interceptor, I would have to rank them:
1. X-wing (big, nice design, some mechanicals)
2. Tie Interceptor (big, OK design, no mechanicals)
3. Millennium Falcon (not so big, was there a design?, no mechanicals)
The MF is OK, I suppose, but it's not something I wanted to display in my
lounge room (where the UCS sets are currently) so I broke it up for parts.
Although I do like it overall, I was a little disappointed with the UCS Tie
Interceptor; I was hoping that it would have something "extra" beyond being
a static model (like the moveable wings on the UCS X-wing) but it doesn't.
It is really just a bigger version of the smaller Tie Fighter. While the Tie
Interceptor has a nice cockpit designed with good accesss, it needs a pilot
(e.g. Darth Vader) but the size is all wrong. A minifig would be way too
small and a Technics figure is too big (whereas a Technics figure fits the
UCS X-wing albeit cosily).

| Hey Everyone, I had a 7190 Millenium Falcon, I posted it for sale a few weeks ago, unopened as well! I sold it for a $100AU, a great bargain but I made a bit of a profit because I payed $50AU and three Pokemon Cards for it! :). If anyone wants one (...) (24 years ago, 23-Sep-00, to lugnet.loc.au)
