1.  Are the Action Wheelers Toolo?
Yes.  The styling is different but they are Toolo and they are compatible.
The screwdriver supplied with all the new sets is a Toolo screwdriver with
an extra ridge around the base of the triangular end which enables it to
hold onto the wheel hubs and the propeller, making it easier for a child
to handle these items.  The old screwdriver didn't grip like this.  Apart
from that the only difference is that the handle seems to be made out of
cheaper plastic.

2.  Are the batteries in the Light and Sound elements replaceable?
Yes! In fact the batteries are not included.  The red Race Car 2912
requires 2 AAA batteries.  I haven't bought 2913 but looked at it and
it appeared to take the same (although it's a different L&S element).
I have yet to see 2914 in a store but would expect it to have the same
battery requirements.

3.  So what does the Light and Sound element do?
The race car Light and Sound element has two buttons on top, one
makes a sound like a car starting/revving (if you have some imagination) or
a dinosaur (blame my husband for the 2nd observation).  The other sounds
like a rocket taking off (or maybe a jet plane) with a garbled "police radio"
type voice over part of it, and is longer.  Both flash the lights, at first
I thought the pattern was slighlty different but now I'm inclined to think
they're the same, the longer duration of the 2nd button makes it hard to
tell for sure.

I'm curious as to whether 2913 and 2914 have the same (as each other) L&S
element in different colours but I've no plans to buy either set at the
moment.  (But then I did say I wasn't going to buy any AW sets at all and
I have bought 2909 and 2912...)

When time permits I'll review the Helicopter and Race Car in detail,
overall I'm not that impressed, the pieces are chunkier and the styling
is quite different from the old Toolo so they look funny together but
they DO go together.  I do, however, like the fact that here (Australia)
the AW sets are much cheaper than Toolo was!
