Subject: GST and Lego and ACCC

Hi, seeing as Lego Oz have/are restructuring their pricing (for the
worse) could this be anyway seen as a pre GST strike? If somebody
reported it to the ACCC surely at least it might get some attention.
Maybe not like the Video Ezy debalce, but Lego seems to be getting to
be know as Expensive, when only the larger sets are. We still need the
smaller ones, and that's where a lot of people start their collecting
isn't it?

BTW, where does Lego Oz get their Sets from? Got a set with Arabic
sticker on it.

Well, we used to be a subsidiary of Lego UK in the 60's and 70's [and maybe
part of the 80's] and I've got a feeling NZ still may be, as they get the
same sets as the UK at about the same time [1]. But it's now begining to
look like we've become the dumping ground for lego [or else all these
illegal immigrants are bringing lego with them, knowing that with the high
costs here they'll be able to make some money to start their lives here].

I reckon it could be worth calling in the ACCC, especially as the price on
the sets that were $4.25 in January have gone up to $4.95 at target in the
last month...[Didn't bother checking larger sets...6474 is STILL $45.95 :(

[1] Note to Lego Australia...NZ can get sets before we do...maybe you should
look at their shipping times...and also have your reps actually look at the
prices for sets in stores. It could help explain peoples reluctance to buy
lego.
