Gday all!
As part of the event and also involving the community, you have a chance to
join in by coming up with a custom set of your own to design for our event.
The custom designed set will be available for purchase at the event and used
as part of our fundraising project (this will help for any finances
previously used and possibly for future events).
The price of the kit depends on obtaining the parts and also enough to make
it a worthwhile fundraiser. However, it will not be guaranteed that any
submitted set will be chosen as the kit, this may be due to parts
availability, designs, structure, size, colour, cost of parts needed or any
other related problems that may occur. So hopefully one of you will be able
to submit a custom set for our event! For any reason it has been decided that
more than one set was chosen, a second set will also be available, there will
be no first or second prize, as your set being made into a custom set and is
used for fundraising. (read rules below).
Details:
- Idea: To design a small Australian custom set (following the rules available in this post).
- Theme: Australian, Australian icon, building, vehicle, person, food product, place, picture, invention and so on, just has to be Australian ;) Also make sure that if you are designing a product/brand etc that typical rules associated apply: permission to use, produce and be able to sell your finished design. Please provide shown proof of this when submitting.
- Time Frame: Closes 1st January 2005
- Parts: 30 - 50 parts (preferably 50 as the max usuage of parts). Please use parts that are known to be commonly available and in the right colours that are also available, do not use rare or hard to find parts. Please use common sense while designing.
- Size: Nothing too big or too small, submit your entry and we will choose what fits best :)
- Submissions: Follow the rules below, have fun and submit as many as you wish! You do not have to attend the event to submit a design.
- Format: They maybe in Ldraw or LEGO, please do not use clones as clone bricks are not practical for such a project and do not fit into the initial idea or event.
- Winner/s: One entry is to hopefully chosen (possibly two). Winner/s will be announced at the event.
- Entries: Please send your entries to competition@brickventures.com
- Other: Please also include, your name to be used and what the design is of and possibly a real picture of it (from the net or scanned).
Rules: (and other information found in the bottom link)

Hello!
2 entries have already been received! Sadly I cant reveal them at this present
time. But they are pretty good! You still have plenty of time left and are
able to submit as many as you wish (means more to choose from).
So keep em coming!
