I recently bought a lot on eBay where the price was nudging 50c/piece, and
I’m still getting over the shock! Mind you, they were nice pieces (nicer than
brown shovels, in fact), but still... 50c/piece... ouch.

I must apologise! They are under 50c/piece.
Having visited his Bricklink store, Martin’s shovels are very reasonably priced
indeed. I suspect that postage will take it over 50c though...
Also, I don’t actually have a need for a brown shovel... but if anyone wants
one, go check Martin’s store and
buy one. (And next time you see me, ask for 50c Australian for it - and you get
to keep the shovel).
