Apologies for sticking my nose in local business. I am wondering if this
has changed recently? A couple of years ago, my Quilt Guild (US) sent
fabric to a group in Australia. The fabric we sent was new. We were
instructed to go ahead and wash it (most quilters preshrink fabric before
use anyway), but not to iron it so it could legitimately come into the
country as used, thus saving the receipts some funds.
