(...) A bleach/water mixture. Let it soak for a few days. Repeat as necessary, or just let it soak for longer. You bricks will then be sqeaky clean, literally! (...) Same deal, but you may end up with some grey bricks that are just a teeny bit (...) (21 years ago, 30-May-03, to lugnet.loc.au)

I know what you mean about squeaky - I recently bought an older set on eBay, and the bricks felt odd - they gripped a bit more tightly than most, and seemed almost too clean - and sure enough they squeaked as they went together and (...)
