Cheap flights to the national meeting in June

I just got some email from Qantas about cheap tickets in the right time
frame for the National meeting in June, e.g.
Brisbane to Sydney from $79.00
Melbourne to Sydney from $89
These one way specials are valid for travel from 1 May 2003 until 30 June
2003 and must be booked in the next week or so. Usual onerous conditions
apply. For other departure cities or bookings or more info, see
http://qantas.com/rededeals
However, I also took a look at Virgin Blue http://www.virginblue.com.au who
appear to have one-way fares from Brisbane to Sydney for $69 also for that
period (didn't check other departure cities). These must also be booked in
the next week or so.
Whatever, if you are thinking of flying, it might be worth a look to see if
this is a good time to lock in a cheap fare.
