I saw the 8461 Williams F1 Racer in Toyworld, Indooroopilly yesterday. It was
$220, which I thought at the time was a pretty low price. However, it turns out
it is the same price as S@H (having just checked it).
Given that the Williams F1 Racer is mechanically a 8458 Silver Champion but
with different exterior panels (designed to take the team name stickers), it is
interesting that the Williams is about $100 cheaper than the Silver Champion,
which usually retailed at about $320 here in Oz. On the assumption that there
is some licensing agreement for the Williams, logically you would expect it to
be more expensive than the no-license Silver Champion, not significantly less.
Strange, but who's complaining? :-)
