  Dick Smith has 25% off Lego
 
I happened to drop into my local Dick Smith at Indooroopilly today. They had Lego (and Meccano and some other toys) at 25% off. Now Dick Smith doesn't carry much Lego, but they did have a big stack of the NXT robotics set which is a much nicer price (...) (18 years ago, 26-Dec-06, to lugnet.loc.au)
 
  Another bizarre part substitution
 
Bought a 7708 EXOFORCE Uplink for my son today, when he spread the parts on the bench, I thought...hmmm..how will they incorporate that latticey castle window piece into the set. Anyway, heard the missing piece cry go up, thinking it has probably (...) (18 years ago, 23-Dec-06, to lugnet.loc.au)
 
  2 blasters short !
 
Star Wars 7654 has a fig inventory pictured on the back, that includes 4 tan droids, each with a blaster. The front of the box artwork only has 2 blasters visible, one held by a droid and one sitting idle on one of the craft. The inventory picture (...) (18 years ago, 23-Dec-06, to lugnet.loc.au)
