  Aussie Retail Specials Update

The Red Baron has returned, at an even lower price: [LEGOSet 10024] AUD$39 Always want more 3x12 slopes, but too much red... *sigh* Now, if only The Great War had featured an array of equally famous differently-coloured Barons... mmmm, Blue-Violet (...)   Re: Aust event 2005 (update #3) BrickVention!: Event Competition

(...) Oh Pete! Of course, I have two custom sets sitting right in my house right now, much more pieces involved, this is why we will go for the right design with the right price in mind and with the right kind of pieces used! It's not that difficult (...) (20 years ago, 3-Oct-04, to lugnet.loc.au, FTX)

Re: Aust event 2005 (update #3) BrickVention!: Event Competition

(...) Custom kits are labour intensive to produce and it's expensive to source parts, so they tend to be pricey for what you get, unless it's a great design ;^) So does there need to be fundraising before the fundraising ? Who are you selling to at (...) (20 years ago, 3-Oct-04, to lugnet.loc.au, FTX)

Re: Sydney Harbour Bridge goes Micro

Unless it's post-global warming and the rusty coathanger sits above the new sea-level. By then everyone may (...) (20 years ago, 3-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.loc.au, FTX)

I've been looking at my small collection of Islander rope bridges for a while, wondering what they could be used for... and finally it struck me: (URL) After I put it together, I spent a moment thinking it would be a good idea for Lego to release (...)   Re: Aust event 2005 (update #3) BrickVention!: Event Competition

(...) I think the idea is to pre-sell the sets (to raise funds), and distribute the pre-sold ones at the event, as well as having them for sale at the door. The people who buy them before the event won't know what they're getting until they get (...) (20 years ago, 3-Oct-04, to lugnet.loc.au, FTX)

Re: Aust event 2005 (update #3) BrickVention!: Event Competition

(...) Very cool! (...) The kits are going to be used for fundraising before the event (presumably that's when you need to raise the funds), but the designer not announced until the event? That doesn't quite match with the giving credit bit... It (...) (20 years ago, 3-Oct-04, to lugnet.loc.au, FTX)

Aust event 2005 (update #3) BrickVention!: Event Competition

G'day all! As part of the event and also involving the community, you have a chance to join in by coming up with a custom set of your own to design for our event. The custom designed set will be available for purchase at the event and used as part (...) (20 years ago, 3-Oct-04, to lugnet.loc.au, FTX) !
