  Myer stocktake sale

Hello all, Myer have their big stocktake sale on, and whilst Lego wasn't mentioned in any of the ads/catalogues so far, Myer Hobart did in fact have a reasonable amount of 50% off selected Lego in store. Much of this is Duplo and Primo/Baby (...) (20 years ago, 9-Jun-04, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Bionicle (Roll Call) Update time

(...) When are people going to realise that the inconvenience of Lego's rapid transition from traditional grey to bley is far too serious to joke about? Or am I just the pot calling the kettle bley? ;-) Cheers Richie Dulin (3 URLs) (20 years ago, 9-Jun-04, to lugnet.loc.au, FTX)

Re: Bionicle (Roll Call) Update time

(...) James, you doubled the fizzy-state-bait content in your post ;^) Keep them snapper patter posts comin' ! pete.w (bubble bubble....) (20 years ago, 9-Jun-04, to lugnet.loc.au, FTX)

Re: TL-2 Chiron - New model

(...) Much better! I think what I like about it is the way the blue defines the nose section and also how well it works as both the cockpit section and the back of the mech head. (20 years ago, 9-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Bionicle (Roll Call) Update time

(...) Yeah but it would have taken away the snappy patter of my post had I said "Should I mention that I don't find Lego's rapid transition from traditional grey to bley inconvenient". (All comments in good humour here, don't sic the Lance of Athena (...) (20 years ago, 9-Jun-04, to lugnet.loc.au, FTX)

Name: Ross Crawford [snipped stuff that doesn't change] # of Sets in LEGO Collection: No idea, but definitely over 400 (according to my Lugnet set list). # of Unopened Sets in Collection: About 10. # of LEGO Pieces: No idea, but I'd guess around (...) (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Queens Birthday Meet

(...) Definitely a possibility. I'd probably go with Sunday just in case any out-of-towners show up. But the main question is organising an eatery - anyone know any good ones? One that doesn't mind people bringing LEGO to the table would be a bonus (...) (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: My antry in TGBSLILAC

(...) A most impressive antry ! Technic wizardry on a grand scale. Verrryyyy interesting tread too. The large square of linoleum idea might be a good way for cranesters to keep their real-life cranes clean. Though your entry is distinctly lacking in (...)   Re: TL-2 Chiron - New model

(...) Well, not only does it deserve them, it gets them! The latest photos (and also the best I can summon without buying a new camera!) are located here: (URL) (post-mod of course ;) ) and here's a couple of teaser pics (2 URLs) Oh yes, I put in a (...)   Queens Birthday Meet

Hey, I know that the date for this is rapidly approaching (next week and all) but I was wondering if anyone wanted to get together on the weekend (12/13th) before and maybe have a social gathering, like a dinner somewhere or something. (so as not to (...) (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Brictoria Barracks is up and running

Hi Benjamin I like the barracks building and the 25lb Field gun. Your models could be really improved with better pictures if you have that possibility. It takes some real creativity to create 'modern' armies that don't look like Johnny Thunder (...) (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.build.military, FTX)

Re: Bionicle (Roll Call) Update time

(...) Sure, but frankly the virtues of the actual colour has nothing to do with it - I like the new light/dark grey too, in fact I think (as many do) that they're slightly better colours... but not so much better as to justify so much damned (...) (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.loc.au, FTX)

  My antry in TGBSLILAC

Hi all, my entry is here: (URL) figure it fits in the Australian theme - it's in National Crane Hire livery, and built by an Australian! It was actually in a reasonably finished state by the original deadline, but Melbournites will remember we had 5 (...) (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: TL-2 Chiron - New model

(...) This ship is cool! Normally I don't go for transforming spaceships, too many compromises in the ship form and the mech form, but this one is different. It deserves better pictures! (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: TL-2 Chiron - New model

(...) -snip- (...) More light! Try going outside on a sunny day, and making sure that the sun isn't behind the model (actually, you probably need to make sure that the model isn't between the camera and the sun - it's much easier that way). (...) (...) (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Bionicle (Roll Call) Update time

(...) Absolutely! It was quite a surprise for me to find that 'bley' wasn't intended as a contraction of 'Better Light grEY'. Cheers Richie Dulin (3 URLs) (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.loc.au, FTX)

Re: Bionicle (Roll Call) Update time

(...) Thanks guys. (...) Should I mention I like bley? :) (...) Y'know I would, except I find it damn hard to pedal those little minifig bicycles. (20 years ago, 7-Jun-04, to lugnet.loc.au, FTX)
