  London Underground 1972mkII Tube Stock

The 1972 tube stock was a minor evolution of the 1967 stock that was ordered for the Victoria line. The first batch (MkI) were for the Northern Line to replace 1938 stock. The second batch (MKII), while intended for the new Fleet (now Jubilee) line (...) (17 years ago, 23-Aug-07, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.underground, FTX)

  Re: Ghent

(...) I have just returned from Ghent. It is similar to the Netherlands. In the centre there is Bart Smit & Intertoys - large toyshops with several floors of toys. There is also LEGO in Blokker a discount department store. Intertoys was the best. It (...) (17 years ago, 18-Aug-07, to lugnet.loc.be)

Re: London Underground Standard Tube Stock

(...) Sock! LOL Thanks for your comments. If you look at the pic below you should be able to see the skirting (far left of pic, with a motor wheel visible under by its metallic shine). (URL) Ta, David (17 years ago, 17-Aug-07, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.underground, FTX)

Re: London Underground Standard Tube Stock

(...) David: Nice work! I love the general shape of those cars and the use of the smaller train wheels is spot-on. One question. You mentioned the motor in the actual cars being hidden beneath a skirt. Is this true on your model as well? Do these (...)   Re: star wars tie crawler tank.

(...) It's not a bad model...But I reckon the Bat Tank will be easier to convert to a WWI era (British) tank. Of course, I can probably see a WWI German tank in this model. (BTW, 164 track links on inv page of instructions, 162 used in model.) That (...) (17 years ago, 17-Aug-07, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: star wars tie crawler tank.

(...) Mmmmm. No idea what movie this is from - I am guessing its out of the non-movie mechandising. Faintly surprised that it makes sense for Lego to go there. However, it does look like all the makings of a pretty cool WWI tank. A bit big, granted, (...) (17 years ago, 17-Aug-07, to lugnet.loc.au)

This is my most recent tube train. I haven't had much time to build recently so I've been putting more stuff online. The Standard tube stock dates back to the 1920s. It was a series of tube stocks which were designed to be cross-compatable. The (...) (17 years ago, 16-Aug-07, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.underground, FTX) !
