I happened to drop into my local Dick Smith at Indooroopilly today. They had Lego (and Meccano and some other toys) at 25% off. Now Dick Smith doesn't carry much Lego, but they did have a big stack of the NXT robotics set which is a much nicer price (...) (18 years ago, 26-Dec-06, to lugnet.loc.au)

Be careful when buying 'New Sealed' LEGO sets on ebay. If a fixed price listing is too good to be true, like less than wholesale, then it's possibly dodgy. Especially when the same seller has had an auction run to higher than retail for the same set (...) (18 years ago, 22-Dec-06, to lugnet.loc.au)

This past weekend TexLUG Houston held a private event for the children of the Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital. It was a pretty mixed bag of themes, but everyone had fun.
