Re: LD's Auctions (Re: Going once, going twice, sold!)

Allan Bedford wrote (...) First, as has been said, it's unlikely that the eBay offering is about money. Second, I'm not sure LEGO does production runs of anything for less than 10,000. Your suggested production run of 3,000 is way too small, I'd (...) (22 years ago, 9-Apr-02, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  Legends: good or bad?

XPFUT .general <snipped it all> First off, this is XPFUT'd to .general because I'd like to spark an intelligent conversation about the Legends line. I don't want this to turn into some kind of argument or debate. Ben, I can understand your point as (...) (22 years ago, 13-Apr-02, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.general)

(...) Since everybody else has, I'll give my opinion: I think this is great. We now have a chance to get great sets with highly inflated prices currently. I do not care if the castle or space helmet is slightly different; I do not think it matters. (...) (22 years ago, 17-Apr-02, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: You get to choose! -> IBERIA?

Lego Direct doesn´t work at all in our countries, and sets heve been added every month... if the home service is launched, I am not going to have enough money to buy Sopwith Camel, Rebel (...)   Re: LD's Auctions (Re: Going once, going twice, sold!)

(...) How did you determine these sales were due to the "limited" nature of the set, and not due to the excellent quality of the set? Once you have established that, suppose Lego were to release a "limited" set every month -- do you think the appeal (...) (22 years ago, 9-Apr-02, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: Desiring Machine (was Re: You get to choose!)

(...) Well, perhaps -- there is certainly desire for certain elements. I think we would all be served better by more selection in the accessory packs, but if the only way to get some things are going to be the Legend and Classics lines, then so be (...) (...) Jake, all I can say is, Wow! Why do you torture me so? As a fan of Town, I lean towards <Set:6390> But, as a lover of "my Era" of classic sets, I look towards <Set:6285> Grrr, Decisions Decisions! :) Also, one quick question. If LEGO can (...)   New colors for old Legends (WAS: legend voting)

(...) Don, I have previously suggested a similar course of action for this set: (URL) this is one of my all time favorite sets, and at the top of my list for a Legends reissue, it frankly looks silly in blue.
