I picked one of these up at the Chicago LEGO Store last Wednesday night (the
only one they had too). Mine was also missing parts (24 1x2 green plates
and 7 1x1 white tiles). I called Consumer Affairs and described the item
(the woman I spoke with had never heard of it). None of the information on
the pack (bar code, name, etc.) triggered their computer. However, Iin true
LEGO fashion, they are sending me the missing parts. I expect to see them
in a few days.
Tom - did you try calling consumer affairs?
Since they didn't know anything about the set, I doubt they will do anything
with the instructions. The instructions are similar to many of those found
in the LEGO.com/build section of the LEGO web site. They combine steps that
would probably make sense to be multiple steps and in once case, the images
for Steps 2 and 3 are in the wrong order. They almost appear to have been
done with LPub!
If you can find this set it is a great deal. It has almost 2x the plates
the new green 1xN plate pack has for $5!
