I am looking to order several Technic kits (#5295) for my Lego robotics course in our community college. Mostly to implement a rack and pinion steering mechanism for robot cars. It was my understanding that at least one of the original thoughts behind LEGO Direct was that it would provide sets directly to consumers, in much they way you can effectively 'shop' on eBay. (...) I believe that's where the numbers will be. Haven't gleaned yet whether the certificate will be numbered as well. From discussions in .trains, it appears the numbers are printed (not stickers!). Also the round windows on the side are printed (...)
