Yes, they are recyclable, anywhere that accepts #5 film plastic(1).  Some of
the LD bags are marked with the recycle symbol, but there's no indicator on
the retail packaging.

1:If my memory is serving me correctly; it may be a different class of
recyclable, I don't have a bag handy to check.
