Something caught my attention immediately in the 3rd pic posted by Jeff.
On the label there is the slogan:
More Variety
Better Versatility
More Colors
And there's two things that made that slogan jump out at me.
1) It seems to me as though somebody at LEGO finally got 'it'. The 'it' being
the whole reason I buy LEGO bricks. That's it. That's it in a nutshell.
That's what I want. Maybe I'm making too much of something that might not be as
deep as I'm reading into it. But I really hope this is the plan that was
followed when putting together this tub and will be followed when putting
together future assorted tubs.
2) 'Versatility'. Wow... what a $5 word to put on a kids toy. :) Not that I
disagree with using it. Quite the contrary, I think you can and should use
words that are meaningful and contain more than 3 syllables... even when
advertising something like this. It's just that it surprised me to read it in
that context.
So for both of these items... and for the slogan itself... I offer humble
thanks. This is a 'can't complain' move if you ask me.
Best regards,
Allan B.
