Re: to LEGO factory : You are not being fair.

It does look like the week 1 winner that violated the size rule and at least seemingly the voting system was removed. The container ship is currently listed as the week 1 winner. Bruce (22 years ago, 24-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

  Re: AFOLs and Mindstorms

This sounds like a lotta fun, if not somewhat short notice. One critical question, regarding the competition itself: What is the programming environment? -Ted (...) (22 years ago, 23-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.robotics, FTX)

  AFOLs and Mindstorms

My colleague, Jan Beyer has asked me to pass along word of something cool he's working on. As he works to help community build and spread even further in Europe, he was thinking it might be fun to pull together an AFOL Mindstorms competition. Sorta (...)   Re: Appreciating what TLG and Lego Direct have done for AFOL's

(...) Just to clarify, LEGO Direct always had a limited time directive. The purpose was to run outside the "corporate structure" long enough to get up and running, then start to integrate the unit (and thus the ideas) into the organization overall. (...) (22 years ago, 23-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego)

Re: Appreciating what TLG and Lego Direct have done for AFOL's

(...) They pulled the plug on LEGO Direct a year ago when Brad left. They reorganized and broke LEGO Direct up, spreading parts into various sections of the company. It's a good thing - LEGO Direct was a successful experiment so the entire company (...) (22 years ago, 23-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego)

Re: Appreciating what TLG and Lego Direct have done for AFOL's

Hello! Yes, I appreciate what LEGO has done for me (me, being an AFOL, as I am only entitled to speak for myself) and I really like many of LEGO Direct's products. I simply love the concept "LEGO system" and that's what I'm grateful for as well as (...) (22 years ago, 23-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX) !!

Re: One last Spring Cleaning set

(...) So far, I have been unable to locate these in north Fla. One store I spoke with indicated that "a bunch of Lego is going to be on sale", but she did not yet have the ad-copy. We shall see what happens on Thrusday. Ray (22 years ago, 23-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.market.shopping)

(...) I have not seen one scrap of evidence that Jake or anyone else at TLC has been dishonest at any point in time. And what's more... FACT: The toy industry is cut-throat, competitive, season-driven. FACT: TLC is a privately held company. FACT: (...) (22 years ago, 23-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

  Re: Universal Color List...finally

(...) I much prefer the new transparent orange, although the old one worked OK for flames. I didn't find it very usable for much of anything else, as the color was too saturated, and its hue was a bit too far on the red side of the spectrum. For (...)
