Hi Will,
As I was writing the original post, I realized that I had a question for
myself, does the X4 go on the image itself, or does it go in the web pages
generated by LPub. If I make it go into the web pages, then I think it leaves
more flexibility to the person creating the building instructions (the actual
image is unblemished ;-)
I don't know if people use the web page generation stuff much, but I do to
just peruse through the steps. It gets annoying paging through the redundant
images. It sounds like it affects LPub in two places: eliminate redundant
rendering, and eliminate redundant web pages (or web page table entries).
