Yeah, I would much rather have a LotR theme, but there are descent enough
castle elements in HP.  speaking of which, I'm trying to build a Hagrid army
if anyone wants to help!

So what do people think of the new 2002 sets?  Personally, I think the new
Alpha Team sets look terrible.  Why in the world did they put them
underwater?  Last I checked, Aquazone wasn't the biggest hit.

I do really like the new soccer sets--most specifically, the new red
uniforms and corresponding faces.  Some of the Star Wars sets look OK,
although the e-woks don't seem quite as cool as they could have been.  I am
happy to see some smaller HP sets (to build up the Slytherins), but I must
say, the troll looks pathetic!

Any other opinions?

KEith

In lugnet.castle, Brian Kasprzyk writes:
I am curious if Lego had signed some agreement with Warner stating they

stinks, but maybe Lego got themselves in another one of these situations
with the Harry Potter line.

Well, don't lots of the Alpha Team things look like spaceships?

At Brickfest 2001, Brad Justus said that no themes were "dead" in the sense
that they would never conceivably return. (If all of a sudden the middle
ages become really cool with kids through some disney movie or something,
and Lego think that a castle line would sell well, they will be sure to
take
advantage of that market.)

Of more immediate significance to us castle heads though, he said something
to the effect that we should not expect any castle stuff while they are
making HP sets. He hinted that there might be future classic/legends castle
sets, but probably not an actual castle for a good while.

Too bad they aren't doing a LotR theme.

sigh...

(...) Have you seen the Goblins in 4714? (...) Umm, I think you'll find that it was a very good seller. Almost all of the sets, (and this goes double for the orignal Aquanauts and the larger sets) rate 65 or more on the LugnetDB. In my experience, I (...)
