Re: My Analysis of the 2000 Sets —Damian Garcia
Does Arctic really belong in Town? Jeff Stembel wrote in message ... (...) I think the white thing and yellow thing referred to later are one and the same: the backpack. If not, they are still the same. Personally, I thought it was a polar (...) (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

        unfair treatment —Damian Garcia
Just looked again at 6573. Why is it that they have winter-coat-guy standing way in the back with a radio, and this poor soul carrying a highly radioactive spider in a standard shovel with no protection from the REMs OR the arctic frost!? Man, thats (...) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) Depends on how strict your definition of town is...This theme is like divers, bravely taking minifigs where no minifigs have gone before. (of course, some may argue that it is like trains, but they could also be considered to be a town theme (...) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

Arctic is Town (was: Re: My Analysis of the 2000 Sets) —Todd Lehman
(...) There's absolutely no question about it. The Arctic sets are numbered 6520, 6569, 6573, 6575, 6579, etc., placing theme smack in the middle of the Town range. Divers, also part of Town, were numbered 6441, 6442, 6555, 6556, 6557, 6558, 6559, (...) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.town)

(...) Logically speaking, that conclusion doesn't follow.[1] Something being in 63xx-66xx means that it definitely is Town, but something not being 63xx-66xx doesn't necessarily mean that it's not Town. For example, 9 of the ~23 Ninja sets are in (...) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.town, lugnet.admin.database)

(...) year (...) Where did this come from? I haven't seen anything that says "Futbol" in the catalog, and frankly, I don't think Lego would be dumb enough to refer to the soccer sets this way in the US. It would create way to much confusion.
