I don't htink there would be many people who would try to buy all the • parts to
a set and sell it for cheaper than retail.

I do not think that the concern lies in people buying the parts to make/sell
official lego sets below retail.

I believe the concern is that people will design their OWN sets using the
bulk parts, which would undoubtedly be BETTER then the ones Lego is
currently still selling.

I've been following this group for a while, and I'd like to add my 3.059 cents worth (the exchange rate at the moment's a pain). If it is true that AFOL's requesting bulk orders would only make up a small percentage of Lego sales, then I cannot see (...) (25 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)
