Is my 'little summer house' welcome? (Not exactly 'town', though)

Sure, is the .dat file on LUGNET?

Now it is :-)

Fun building!
How about making it LCadville College?

Great idea, John. It does look like an old college building, but how
about changing the blue to red, so it looks like a brick building :)

For that matter, I could just skew a regular plate on the y-axis.

Oh
by the way, could Lcadville use a Disco?

Sure, we can put it across the street from the Chapel ;-)

Hey, as long as it isn't open during the services. :P

I was thinking it was finally time for
me to download LDraw this weekend, and a I have been planning a Disco • as a
warmup project for a while.

That's what we like to hear!

Chalk up one more for the good guys!! :)

Besides, it must get boring having church as an
only option for "going out." Also, I have a suggestion. I think the • town
would
look better if you added some shrubery and trees and stuff, because the • town
sort of looks like it was built on a big parking lot. Just my opinion, • but I
think it may look a little better if there was some grass.

I agree.  I installed sidewalks today, including walks for a cool park on • the
town square.  (I wonder how much that many white 2x2 tiles would cost?) • Grass
would be great, but it's a problem for the street segments.  The street • and
the surrounding area are stuck being the same color, and green roads _do • not_
look good.  I started planting the little rounded trees along the • streets, but
they didn't do justice to the buildings.  I think big trees using the • leaf
parts are needed.  Has anyone designed some of these?

Other planned additions include street signs and lamps and firehydrants
(anyone feel free to help me out with these.)

On one end of town we could have a mini-mall, drive-in, and the disco.
On the other end can be residential(what we've already begun).
And in between we can have the Fire Station(just started on it), the
Police station, a Hospital or clinic, and a convenience store/gas station.
I believe that Lutz Ulhman(I know the spellings off but I've never spelled
his name before) has done some really cool buildings.

We have street signs(or at least a couple I think), I believe Jeff S.
had made some light posts, and Jeff Christner's made a 1x2 fire
hydrant(not your typical shape, but then again this isn't your typical
town).

What about doing the roads black(asphalt) and the plates the buildings
sit on green(grass). This would probably work, although I don't know
how 'cool' it would look.
