Jeremy, you don't need *me* to tell you about when to serve mermaid at a
formal dinner, do you? I thought the Encyclopedia Sproaticus would certainly
have at least a footnote on this.
Spamcake is always "buried" as the second hors d'oeuvre so that it can be
rejected in favor of the first or third and following selections, thereby
making it thoroughly forgettable, but still offered to less cultured guests.
